7 Wonders of Technology

 1.Internet
Internet is like the modern Alexandria library. Internet is now available not only for the people elite. For every man, woman and children where there is a vast world of information. Some of our daily life now depends on the internet, not only for gathering information and research, but for shopping, entertainment, news, and communication. Which allows us to communicate with everyone on this planet without the high costs imposed by the telephone company.

The Internet has launched the careers of many artists - people who normally would be ignored by the mainstream industry they work. No doubt, the Internet is the greatest wonders of the world of technology.

2. Computer
Computers have changed the world so that we can say we now live in the computer age, after leaving the industrial era well behind us. Computers are used in almost every aspect of human life - including medicine, science, crime detection, entertainment, and much more.

The computer has revolutionized so many aspects of our lives that are now hard to imagine life without it.

3. Laser
Laser (short for English: Light Amplification by stimulated Emission of Radiation) is a device that uses a quantum mechanical effect, stimulated emission, to produce a light of medium koherens "lasing" controlled purity, size, and shape. Expenses of the laser can be sustained and constant-amplitude (known as CW or continuous wave), or rate, with Q-switching technique to use it, modelocking, or gain-switching.

Every day, many of which apply laser, industrial, research, medical, laser surgery has been revolutionized and now we can restore sight to someone who is almost blind with their help.

4. The Hubble Space Telescope

Hubble Space Telescope is a space telescope that was in orbit of the earth. Hubble's name was taken from a famous American scientist Edwin Hubble who is also the inventor of the Hubble law. Most of the celestial bodies that have been identified, is a service the Hubble telescope.

Since its launch in 1990, the Hubble Space Telescope has been one of the most important instrument in the history of astronomy. Children today do not have to look to the sky and wonder - Hubble has brought the beauty of the sky to the earth. Hubble telescope has allowed many remarkable discoveries about the universe and its origins.

Hubble it shall be disabled at the end of 2005. However, in October 1997, NASA decided to extend Hubble operations from 2005 to 2010. Hubble will be replaced by the James Webb telescope.

5. Linux

Linux is the name given to the Unix computer operating system. Linux is one example of the development of free software and open source major. Like the free software and other open source generally, Linux source code can be modified, used and redistributed freely by anyone. Linux is a major contribution in the dissemination of information automatically increase public knowledge

So many people can work together without having to meet face to face to bring together such construction projects as the operating system - and to make it good enough to compete with the giants in the industry, is a marvel in itself.

The project was started by Linus Torvalds. In 1991, Linus Torvalds began work on a non-commercial replacement for MINIX (Unix-like operating system) when he attended the University of Helsinki. With the code from the GNU system freely available, it is advantageous that it can be used with the fledgling OS. Torvalds initiated a switch from the original license (which prohibited commercial redistribution) to the GNU GPL. Linux and GNU developers worked to integrate GNU components with Linux to create fully functional and free operating system.

6. Space Station
International Space Station (International Space Station, ISS) is a joint plan of the space station, especially the Russian Mir 2, Space Station Freedom United States and the European Columbus orbital facility, represents the remains of human presence in space: has been occupied by at least two people since 2 November 2000.

About 60 years ago the world engaged in one of the greatest war in human civilization. Many years after that a few countries were thrown into the cold war. Who would believe that before the end of the 20th century, the countries that previously were enemies of other nations joined together to create a space station?

ISS is a joint project of 16 countries: U.S., Russia, Japan, Canada, Brazil and 11 countries of the European Union. And their space agency NASA is American, Russian Federal Space Agency, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), Canadian Space Agency (CSA / ASC), Brazilian Space Agency (Agencia Brasileira Espacial) (AEB) and the European Space Agency (ESA). International Space Station has allowed us to learn that we can work together peacefully, especially in the pursuit of scientific knowledge.

7. iPod

This item will be the most controversial in this list. iPod has the effect to the whole world about how we listen to music, how we buy music, and how we view entertainment as a whole. The iPod is not the first portable digital music devices, but it is clear that the effect of all. This has created an entire industry that supports gadgets and accessories and it has become the basis of the only successful attempt by any company to break the Recording Industry's hold on music distribution. The device has an enormous cultural impact on society when compared to the time the tool was first launched.

iPod is a brand of a series of digital media player devices that are designed and sold by Apple Computer (Hewlett-Packard also had to sell these products under the name Apple iPod + HP). The name "iPod" is also used to be a variant of the name of one digital media player in the circuit (this variant is now called the "iPod classic"). Most of the variants of the iPod providing a user interface (user interface) is simple to use design in the form of steering wheel (scroll wheel). iPod classic stores its data on a hard drive, while other models use flash memory. As with most of the other music players, iPods can be used as an external hard drive when connected to a computer.
