Eat Vegetables Helps Keep Kidneys Healthy

Vegetable diet is not only good to maintain ideal body weight or digestive system. A study recently conducted revealed that the vegetable diet can also help people with kidney disease to avoid the accumulation of toxins from the increase in phosphorus in their bodies.
Phosphorus is a chemical that is often associated with calcium metabolism. Too much phosphorus can absorb calcium from the bones and cause osteoporosis or bone fracture.
Therefore, people with kidney failure should limit their phosphorus intake by avoiding foods with high phosphorus content, such as milk, cheese, nuts and soft drinks.Food or beverages with a high mineral content should also be avoided, because it can lead to heart disease and resulting in death.
Many experts recommend a diet low in phosphorus for patients with chronic kidney disease. One of the recommended diet is by eating lots of vegetables.
Quoted from the Times of India, Sharon Moe of Indiana University School of Medicine and his team have studied the effects of a diet of vegetables and meat to elevated levels of phosphorus in nine patients with chronic kidney disease.
Patients were asked to follow a diet of vegetables for one week, then followed by a diet of meat two to four weeks thereafter. Then, blood and urine checked every weekend after a patient on a diet of vegetables / meat.
The result, blood levels of phosphorus in the lower and phosphorus in the urine decreased spending their time with a vegetable diet, than when they followed a diet with meat.
The researchers finally concluded, the source of protein in the diet had a significant effect on the formation of phosphorus levels in patients with chronic renal failure. Protein derived from vegetable oils include soybean, grains or beans. For those with a healthy body condition, are also advised to eat enough vegetables to keep the kidneys functioning properly.

More sleep can Lose Weight

You do not need to bother dieting to lose weight. Only by getting more sleep and regular, then your weight will drop.
Several studies have revealed that sleep deprivation can lead to obesity because it is associated with decreased levels of leptin (a hormone that controls body weight and metabolism). As well as increased levels of ghrelin (which plays a role in increasing appetite).

A study involving 1088 pairs of twins found a gene linked to obesity and observe how it relates to sleep patterns. These genes affect how the body uses energy, how fat is stored in the body, feeling of fullness after eating, and how quickly the sugar is used.

These observations are found, the less time sleeping, these genes affect the body more. Genetic influences on body mass index was two times greater in people who sleep less than seven hours. Compared to the nine hours of sleep each night.

"The results showed that sleep deprivation lead to a more permissive environment for expression of genes related to obesity. Or maybe sleep longer it protects from stress-related gene expression of obesity," said Dr. Nathaniel Watson, leader of the study.

He said the new results are preliminary. However, it can be shown that weight loss will be effective when genetic influences on obesity be reduced by sleeping longer.

6 Drink to Heart Health

Genetic factors can affect a person's risk for heart disease. But the good news, the disease is largely preventable. You may have heard the sage advice that said, to keep the heart healthy, it must be eating and regular exercise begizi.

But not just lifestyle changes that can be done to reduce the risk of heart disease. What you drink can also make a difference. Here are some suggested types of beverages that can help maintain heart health:

1. Coffee
This may sound strange at a glance. But did you know that coffee has higher antioxidant activity than cocoa or tea? Eating the right amounts of coffee may inhibit inflammation and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
A long-term studies and large-scale, which involved more than 83,000 women showed that drinking two cups of coffee a day can cut stroke risk 20 percent lower than those who drank less coffee or none at all.

Suggestions: Drink between 2 to 4 cups of coffee per day including moderate category. But if you suffer from insomnia, anxiety and fatigue, just drink one glass.

2. Pomegranate juice

In recent years the reputation of the surge of pomegranate juice and captivate nutrition researchers. Why not, the experts from the University of California found that the antioxidant capacity of pomegranate juice three times higher than red wine and green tea. In fact, early studies showed that regular consumption of pomegranate juice may lower cholesterol, reduce arterial plaque (a risk factor for heart disease), and increases blood flow to the heart.

Suggestion: If possible, avoid the additional sweetener when making pomegranate juice.

3. Red wine (red wine)

Red wine contains many compounds that can protect heart health, including resveratrol. Resveratrol has antioxidant properties that may protect the blood vessels in the heart and helps prevent the formation of blood clots. Some evidence also showed that consumption of red wine in moderate amounts can raise HDL (good cholesterol).

Tip: For women, it is recommended no more than 1.5 cups per day. As for the men, no more than 2 cups.

4. Black tea

Black tea is produced through the fermentation process after the leaves are harvested and dried. This process changed the chemical composition of leaves, resulting in a powerful antioxidant that helps support cardiovascular health. Black tea has been shown to reduce the risk of stroke, reduce LDL (bad cholesterol), improve blood vessel function and increase blood flow in coronary arteries.

Tip: The longer you dip the tea, the greater the benefit derived phytochemicals. Therefore, serve tea with hot water will be much better while maintaining the antioxidant content is maintained. Drinking several cups of black tea each day may help reduce the risk of heart disease.

5. Green tea

Such as black tea, green tea contains many antioxidants that are good for the heart. The main difference is that green tea is not fermented. A 2004 study showed that drinking green tea in large quantities to prevent the risk of coronary artery disease. There are many studies linking consumption of green tea to lower cholesterol, prevent blood clots and stroke.

Suggestions: Drink 1-3 cups of green tea a day.

6. Water

Dehydration can contribute to multiple risk factors for coronary heart disease, including gore. When you're dehydrated, blood becomes more viscous. This condition makes the heart you expend more energy to pump blood throughout the body. In fact, chronic dehydration can cause hypertension (high blood pressure).

Suggestion: Most experts recommend at least a day a person should drink 8-10 glasses of water (for adults). But the number of recommendations that must be taken not to apply to every person and every condition. To be sure, do not allow your body to become dehydrated. You can also add juice or lemon juice into warm water to add flavor as well as decay and obtain the b
enefits of antioxidants.

Dangers of Sleep while Listening to Music

The habit of sleeping while listening to music, or watching television to sleep, or let the light in the room is brightly lit, it is difficult to remove, and according to some such conditions makes them fall asleep faster. But in fact after they wake up feeling more tense. Some even felt like a sleepless night.

The explanation: When we sleep the brain actually never sleeps. The brain is always running the activities, although not as busy as when awake, that is to run the body's metabolic system. In the evening, with decreasing activity of the body, brain wave rhythms were decreased. But when we sleep while listening to music, television is on or the lights are burning brightly, the sound waves or light emitted by the equipment is still accepted by our sense of hearing and sight. Sound waves received by a hearing in the ear and light waves can still penetrate the eyelids and received by the retina and lens of the eye. Waves will be transmitted to the brain. Rest of the brain should be stimulated to return to work and process the incoming information. If this goes on all night, we just sleep in the body outside, but not by the brain. The brain will continue to work to process the incoming information. So do not let your brain is tired of having to keep working at night, while during the day the brain will also be squeezed by our routine activities.

5 Most Shocking Health Reasons to Drink Coffee

image Jakarta, Although caffeine can cause anxiety and insomnia in some people, but has unique properties such as coffee contains more powerful antioxidants than any other source in the daily diet. According to some researchers, the benefits of drinking coffee with a little sugar far outweigh the negatives.
"Coffee beans are one of the most difficult plants to be sprayed with chemicals, so the coffee is usually free of chemicals," says Beth Reardon, a director at Nutrition for Duke Integrative Medicine.

Here are 5 reasons to drink coffee most surprising Caring quoted as saying on Tuesday (2/21/2012), among others:

1. Coffee may lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes
Many research results have shown that, for coffee drinkers without sugar, the less likely to develop type 2 diabetes. According to one study, postmenopausal women who drank at least 4 cups of coffee a day had less than half the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
In fact, each additional cup is estimated to reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes by 7 percent. The study was conducted by Australian researchers in 2009 and has been published in the Archives of Internal Medicine. Coffee thought to increase the body's tolerance to glucose by speeding up metabolism and improve insulin tolerance.
Coffee consumption increases levels of a protein called sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG), which appears to offer protection against type 2 diabetes in people who have certain types of genetic mutations.

2. Coffee may fight cancer cells
There has been evidence that coffee may protect against certain cancers, possibly by increasing DNA repair. Several studies have found an inverse association between coffee consumption and risk of liver cancer.
Researchers found similar benefits from drinking coffee than other forms of cancer prevention. In 2011, the Harvard team found that women who drink several cups of coffee a day had a lower risk of endometrial cancer.
Another study at Harvard in 2011 reported that, for men who consumed six cups of coffee a day, the risk of lethal prostate cancer is fully 60 percent lower, and the risk of any type of prostate cancer is 20 percent lower.
Other studies have linked coffee drinking with reduced risk of colon cancer, rectal cancer, oral cancer and esophageal cancer. Coffee contains hundreds of chemical compounds, including antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compound that can reduce the damage marker for inflammation.
Highly active antioxidant compounds, such as methylpyridinium, is found almost exclusively in coffee, because the process of roasting coffee beans. Espresso has 2-3 times the amount of anticancer compounds.

3. Coffee may lower risk of dementia (dementia)
Scientists still do not fully understand what causes brain changes associated with Alzheimer's disease. But scientists are learning more about risk factors for dementia and drinking hot coffee seems to reduce the risk.
People who consume 3-5 cups of coffee a day 65 percent less likely to develop dementia. The researchers believe the antioxidant properties of coffee can work to reduce the forms of vascular dementia. Drinking coffee has been known to protect against type 2 diabetes, chronic diseases that increase the risk of dementia.
Animal studies have shown that caffeine in coffee can increase the efficiency of the blood brain barrier, to thwart the negative effects of high cholesterol on cognitive function. It's also possible that coffee drinkers just have more energy and move more. Researchers have shown that exercise is also protective against dementia.

4. Coffee protects against Parkinson's disease
At least for men, it seems quite clear that coffee helps reduce the likelihood of developing Parkinson's disease. Compared with abstainers, those who consumed 2-3 cups of caffeinated coffee a day had 25 percent lower risk of Parkinson's.
The researchers are not sure about the protective mechanisms, or even whether the compound caffeine is useful as a protector. Genetic factors may also play a role. A study finds that, subject to some type of gene called GRIN2A receive the benefits of coffee in the fight against Parkinson's nerves.

5. Coffee may lower risk of depression
According to a study by the consumption of coffee may reduce the risk of depression. Researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health reported that, people who drank four cups of coffee or more per day had a 20 percent lower risk of experiencing depression. People who consume 2-3 cups a day had a risk about 15 percent lower.
There is also some evidence that coffee protects against depression in men. Drinking coffee may cause an increase in the short term for the energy and mood. Caffeine in coffee may be the substances that cause these effects. Harvard researchers saw a similar decrease in depression among people who drank caffeinated soft drinks.
Brain receptors that react to the caffeine found in the basal ganglia. Basal ganglia are part of the brain where the neurotransmitter important for depressive concentrated. Repeated receptor stimulation may help protect against the development of depression.

Importance of Water

Why Need to Drink Water Many-many?
The answer is about 80 percent of the human body consists of water. In fact, there are some parts of our body which has a moisture content of more than 80 percent. Organs and the vital need to get above 80 percent moisture content is BRAIN and BLOOD.

The brain has a component of water by 90 percent, while the blood has a component of the water as much as 95 percent. Ration of normal humans to drink at least 2 liters or 8 glasses of water a day. The number of the above should be added if you're a smoker. That much water is used to replace the fluid that comes out of our body through urine, perspiration, respiration, and secretion.

IF LESS WHITE WATER
What happens when our bodies of water shortages? What happens if we consume less than 2Liter water a day?

The answer:
Our body will balance itself. How, by siphoning water from the body's own components. Of the brain ...? Of course not. The body will suck up water from nearby sources, namely blood. Blood is sucked up the water will be condensed. Due to blood coagulation, the blood circulation will be less smooth compared to the diluted blood.

Blood and Kidney

When the viscous blood through the kidneys (where the filter toxins from the blood), the kidneys will be working extra hard to filter blood. Therefore, the kidney is very fine sieve, not less thick blood can cause a torn kidney glomerulus. As a result, the urine will become reddish, signs began leaking kidneys filter channels. If allowed to continue, you may someday have to spend 400 thousand dollars / week for dialysis treatment.

Blood and Brain
When the viscous blood through the brain, blood circulation becomes obstructed. The brain is no longer "dilute". And because brain cells consume the most wasteful of oxygen, slow blood flow can cause brain cells to die quickly and not working properly. This is due to the brain is deprived of food and oxygen.

Blood and Heart

If we associate with heart disease. Of course, the heart works harder when blood thickens. So a heart attack. or stroke more easily occur.

Now stay you choose: fostering health capital with drinking water at least 8 (eight) glasses a day. Or you begin to live threatened with attack or stroke giinjal disease (heart). Come on, you just choose it! May be useful.
