What is a Blog?

Blog is short for web log is a web application that resembles the form of writings (published as a post) on a public web page. These writings are often published in reverse order (most recent content first and then followed the content is longer), although not always so. Web sites like these can usually be accessed by all Internet users according to the topic and purpose of the user's blog.

 

A. History

Media blog was first popularized by Blogger.com, owned by PyraLab before Google.Com PyraLab by the end of 2002. Since then, there are many applications that are open source dedicated to the development of the blog author. Blog has a very diverse functions, from a diary, media publicity in a political campaign, through media programs and corporations. Some blog maintained by a single author, while others by several authors. Many weblogs also have the facility of interaction with the audience, such as using the guest book and the comments that can allow the visitors to leave comments on the contents of the published writings, but there is also the opposite or non-interactive. Web sites related to each other thanks to the weblog, or a total of a collection of weblogs are often referred to as the blogosphere. Whenever a collection of wave activity, information and opinions are very large recurring for some highly controversial subject or happening in the blogosphere, it is often called a blogstorm or blog storm.    
B. The types of blogs
  1. Political blog: About news, politics, activism, and all the issues-based blogs (such as campaigning). 
  2. Personal Blog: Also known as online diary that contains about one's everyday experience, complaints, poems or poetry, bad ideas, and conversation friends. 
  3. Hidden Blog: Blog that talks about something, and focus on a particular subject. 
  4. Health Blog: More specific information about health. Health blog contains most of the complaints of patients, the latest health news, information about health-ketarangan, etc.. 
  5. Literary blog: Better known as litblog (Literary blog). 
  6. Travel blog: Focus on the journey that tells the story discussion particulars about traveling / traveling. 
  7. Blog research: the question of academic research such as the latest news. 
  8. Law blog: The question of law or legal affairs; referred to as a blawgs (Blog Laws). 
  9. Media Blog: Focusing on the subject lies or ketidakkonsistensi mass media, usually only for a newspaper or television network 
  10. Religious Blog: Discussing about religions Blog education: Usually written by students or teachers. 
  11. Blog of togetherness: a more specific topic written by a particular group. 
  12. Blog guide (directory): Contains hundreds of links pages. 
  13. Blog business: Used by employees or entrepreneurs for their business promotion activities 
  14. Blog embodiment: The focus of museums outside of man; like a dog 
  15. Blog bully (spam): Used for business promotion affiliate; also known as splogs (Spam Blog)
